Thank you for visiting our website; over 80 years as leaders in pharmacy teaching and innovation, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University is a comprehensive institution of higher education in Egypt. Our faculty is keen on working to achieve the primary goal of its mission to supply the community by highly qualified pharmacists capable of effectively exercising the profession of pharmacy and keeping pace with its constant evolutions. Faculty of pharmacy offers two well-structured five years pharmacy curricula namely the main stream program and the clinical pharmacy program. Both are fully accredited by National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). The main stream (general) program served thousands of students since its launching in 18/6/1955 and still inspiring many faculties of pharmacy in Egypt and the middle east with its highly recognized standards

Conditions and Value of Services Profit for Students

Preparatory Class

Category I:

Science Secondary school (Thirty toppers ) and each shall be given 120 pounds a year.

 - Category II:

Those who got 80 % or more without the high level, each shall be given 84 pounds a year.

Other Classes :

- Category I:

 Those who get general grade-excellent shall be given 120 pounds a year.

- Category II:

 Those who get very good.

- Toppers: each shall be given 120 pounds a year.

- Those who get 80% or more, each shall be given 84 pounds a year.

- Secondary equivalent: who get 80% or more, each shall be given 60 pounds a year.

 Students Affairs Administration shall:

- prepare statements of the services beneficiaries of secondary schools.

- send the statements to the accounting department to take financially procedures.

- distribute services for students through (financial affairs) the Faculty Safe.

- Repeat the previous steps with students who get very good or excellent in all classes.​

Team Work

It shall be a disciplinary violation when derogating laws, statutes and traditions of the university in particular: -

· Actions violating the Faculty system or University establishments.

· Hindering study or any planned absence from lessons, lectures and other University business which their statutes require attendance.

· Any act incompatible with the honor and dignity or derogating good behavior inside or outside the University.

· Any derogation of the exam system or its atmosphere and cheating in any exam or attempting this.

· Destroying or breaching establishments, devices, materials or textbooks.

· Any group organization within the University or participating in it without a license from the University competent authorities.

· Distribution of pamphlets or the issuance of wall newspapers in any form in the faculties or collecting signatures without prior permission from the University competent authorities.

· Setting in inside the University buildings or participating in demonstrations general system or morality.

 Disciplinary Sanctions are:

1. Alarming verbally or non-verbally.

2. Warning.

3. Deprivation of some student services.

4. Deprivation of attending the lessons of a course for a period not exceeding one month.

5. Dismissing from the Faculty for a period not exceeding one month.

6. Deprivation of the exam in a course or more.

7. Suspension of a student’s matriculation in the Master's degree or PhD for a period not exceeding two months or for a semester .

8. Cancelling the exam of the student in a course or more.

9. Dismissing from the Faculty for a period not exceeding an academic semester.

10. Deprivation of exams of one semester or more.

11. Deprivation of matriculation in Master’s or PhD for one semester or more.

12. Dismissing from the Faculty for one semester.

13. Final dismissing from the University and informing the dismissal decree to the other universities and this result in hereunder:

· Disqualification of student’s matriculation or submission to the exam at the universities of Arab Republic of Egypt.

· An order may be given to assign the issuance of the decree of the disciplinary sanction within the Faculty and must be informed to the student’s guardian. The decrees of the disciplinary sanctions except the verbal alarm shall be kept in the student's file.

· The University Council shall reconsider the issued decree of the final dismal after at least 3 years from the date of issuance of the decree.

 Competent bodies imposing sanctions are:

· Professors and Assistant Professors:

They shall sign the first four sanctions mentioned in the preceding article from what the students act during the lessons, lectures and various university activities.

· The Faculty Dean:

He shall sign the first eight sanctions set forth in the preceding article. In the case of a disturbance or breach of the rules the causes disturbance of study or exam, the Faculty Dean shall sign all sanctions set forth in the preceding article, this issue shall be displayed within two weeks from the date of signing of the sanction to the Disciplinary Board if the sanction is a final dismissal from the University, and to the University President in relation to other sanctions, in order to consider in confirming, canceling or amending the sanctions.

 . University President:

He shall sign all sanctions set forth in the preceding article, except the last one, and after consulting the Faculty Dean, and he shall prevent the student referred to the Disciplinary Board from entering university places until the day set for his trial.

· Disciplinary Board shall sign all sanctions:

1. Sanctions of the fifth item shall not be signed contained from the fifth item and aforementioned except after the investigating the student non-verbally and listening to his words regarding what is attributed to him. If he did not attend the deadline for the investigation, his right to be heard shall be unproductive and the Faculty Dean shall delegate who can do the investigation.

2. The Faculty member, who is delegated to investigate the student, may not be a member of the Disciplinary Board and the decrees issued by the competent bodies of signing the disciplinary sanctions that are subjected to

Article (127) shall be final, however, the default decree issued by the Disciplinary Board may be opposed and within one week from the date of announcement to the student or to his guardian, and the decree shall be not default if the requested attendance has been declared to the person of the student or his guardian and the student fails to attend without an acceptable excuse.

3. The student may appeal the disciplinary decree by a request submitted to the University President, within fifteen days from the date of notification of the decree, and the University President shall display the submitted appeals to the University Council for consideration.
