Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mervat Kassem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Alexandria University, a successful training course was organized at the Science Park for Pharmaceutical Research, entitled:
Microbiology Quality control in Pharmaceutical Industry: Practical and theoretical

The course was held with the aim of preparing the trainee for the market in this field.
The course was attended by 12 trainees from the faculties of pharmacy at Alexandria University, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology, where they expressed their admiration and great benefit from the content of the course, which included attending theoretical lectures and conducting laboratory experiments. That included microbiological control tests such as microbial count for non-sterile preparations, sterility tests for sterile preparations, as well as methods for analyzing raw materials and water used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical preparations.
The course lasted for a full week, concluded on Monday, July 24, 2023. At the end of the course, the trainees were handed certificates accredited by the University of Alexandria.
In view of the high demand from students and researchers to attend this course, it was decided to hold the course again for a week, starting from Sunday, August 13, until Thursday, August 17, 2023.
