Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mervat Kassem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Alexandria University and Prof. Dr. Sherif Rostom, the Faculty’s vice dean for community service and environmental development affairs, the central laboratory headed by Dr. Sarah Ismail Aburas organized a successful workshop entitled
"Application and characterization of nanotechnology: a hands on workshop"

That was with the aim of increasing the knowledge of students and researchers in the field of nanotechnology.
The activities of the course, which lasted for two days, were concluded on Spetember 4th 2023, and the trainees received accredited certificates from Alexandria University.
The course was attended by 24 trainees from different universities, and a number of researchers, doctoral and master’s students, who expressed their admiration and great benefit from the content of the course.
The course included attending theoretical lectures and conducting laboratory experiments in the central laboratory as well as preparation and measurement of a number of nanocomposites.
