Under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Gowelli, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Sherif Rostom, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and organized by Dr. Heba Ashour and Dr. Engy Ibrahim, the Faculty of Pharmacy hosted a seminar entitled “Regional Challenges and Their Impact on Egyptian National Security.”

The lecture was delivered by Major General Staff Dr. Bahgat Mohamed Farid, Assistant Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces for University Affairs and Fellow of the Military Academy for Postgraduate and Strategic Studies. He discussed the most important regional challenges and crises facing the country and the role of youth in understanding and addressing these challenges.

Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Gowelli, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, praised the university’s role in organizing such events and encouraging students to attend, enabling them to be prepared to deal with various circumstances and significant national events. She commended the valuable information and constructive discussions that Major General Bahgat Farid held with the students to shed light on the challenges surrounding our region and the wisdom of the Egyptian state in confronting them.

She also expressed her gratitude to the University’s Military Education Administration, led by Colonel Mohamed Maher, Director of the Military Education Administration, and his deputy, Lieutenant Colonel Shehab El-Din Magdy, for their constructive role in enhancing students’ national awareness and helping them gain a deep understanding of the regional reality.

The seminar was attended by a number of faculty and university students, as well as a distinguished group of teaching staff and faculty members.
