Reviving community pharmacists’ role in Psychiatry and eliminating the malpractices.

The Faculty of Pharmacy organized a lecture entitled:
"Reviving the role of the community pharmacist in psychiatry and avoiding wrong practices"
lectured by Dr. Nancy Mahfouz, Clinical Pharmacist, Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, Alexandria University Hospitals, on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in the conference hall, sixth floor.
The lecture dealt with:
- Explaining the most important pillars of psychotherapy, whether pharmacological treatment, non-pharmacological treatment (psychological) and introducing how sessions of regulating brain rhythm are used in treatment, known as electrotherapy sessions.
- Presentation of the most wrong practices of psychotherapy and how to overcome them from the part of the community pharmacist.
- Enhancing the skills of the community pharmacist in dealing with the psychiatric patient and increasing his commitment to treatment.
