Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mervat Kassem, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Gowelli, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty held a celebration of Culture Day, which included a cultural celebration that brought together all students and their colleagues from different nationalities.
The day included various sections in which students from Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait, Sudan and South Sudan participated and provided information about their costumes and traditional foods. They also presented performances of folkloric dances for each country. Students from Sudan presented representation of marriage ceremonies and rituals in Sudan.
Prof. Dr. Hala Maklad, from the University administration attended the culture day, and expressed her admiration for the event, which achieves integrate foreign students with their Egyptian colleagues, help in exchanging cultures, and developing the spirit of belonging to the University of Alexandria
