As part of the continuous efforts to make the Faculty of Pharmacy a truly sustainable eco-friendly institution, the faculty has successfully secured a grant from the "Our Earth’s Climate for Sustainable Development" Foundation, which contributes to implementing Egypt’s 2050 Climate Change Strategy, in collaboration with ESSECO (Environmental, Climate Change, and Sustainability Consultancy) under the initiative "Green Universities for a Better Life."

In this context, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, a team from the foundation visited the faculty in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Gowelli, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sherif Rostom, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samah El-Sahafy, Project Coordinator, along with members of the Community Service and Environmental Development Committee and ASPSA student organizers.

During the visit, a lecture titled "Green Universities: Necessity or Luxury?" was delivered to introduce the importance of the green transition in universities, the project’s objectives, and the necessary arrangements for its implementation.

Following the session, attendees proceeded to the faculty gardens, where several ornamental trees—donated by the foundation—were planted, reinforcing the value of the green transition and sustainability in environmental conservation.
